Insanity Over Air

I have read astounding figures on insanity in America. Almost one in every five of an Army call up was rejected for reasons of mental trouble, and one out of every 17 persons was said to be on his way to the Mental Hospital. In all seriousness, if something is not done to curtail the blatant nonsense, and hideous music that is rammed down our necks – or ears – via the wireless all day and night, we are surely going to follow the same way. I have just been forced to listen to a nerve-wracking medley of ghastly sounds which sounded like an old-iron bedstead being dragged across the roof, accompanied by a flock of galahs and screaming cats.
